Varsity Coaching Staff
Kristyn Wakely
Coach
Coach Kristyn Wakely brings a lifelong passion for the game, which began at an early age and took her across multiple states before she became a four-year starting midfielder at Christopher Newport University.
Her coaching résumé spans club lacrosse and varsity programs in Virginia and Georgia, including two seasons as head coach at Northview High School, where her teams posted winning records and top-10 state rankings. After taking time away to raise her young family, Kristyn is excited to be back on the field coaching at the varsity level. She currently teaches first grade at Brookwood Elementary — a Lambert feeder school.
Jen McConnell
Coach
Coach Jen McConnell brings a lifetime of lacrosse experience to the Lambert program — as a former Division I player, high school coach, club coach, recruiting coordinator, and lacrosse mom. A four-year starter and two-year captain at Wagner College in Staten Island, NY, she went on to coach James Madison High School in Virginia, leading the program to two state titles. Jen currently coaches with the Eagle Stix club program and serves as Middle School Director for the Longhorn Youth Lacrosse Association, where she is helping develop the next generation of Lady Longhorns.
